About this document
Every business that uses hazardous chemicals must keep a register of them and hold a current Safety Data Sheet for each, accessible to workers. For a waterproofing contractor that means the primers, membranes, curing agents, solvents and sealants carried on the truck and stored on site.
This editable register lists each product with its manufacturer, hazard class, the maximum quantity held, its storage location and the date of the SDS on file. It flags where placarding or manifest thresholds may be approached, and sets a simple process for keeping SDS current — obtain one before a product is first used, review at least every five years, and remove products no longer held. It is the backbone document that the hazardous chemical risk assessment and the isocyanate health monitoring program both reference.
